Dear Valued Customer,
Service Software would like to announce the release of
our .NET Version 4.5.0. This release contains
several changes and improvements to our award-winning warranty
management system.
NOTE: If you elected to host the software on

Enhancements:
- Added: Added GPS Tracking components to the employee tab - defined as tracking. These represent GPS tracking coordinates from the user’s mobile devices. This is a new licensed application and the cost is $5 additional per mobile user per month. Contact our Sales Department to initiate use of GPS tracking.
- Changed and Added: The field inspection report has been modified to allow users to change the title and add detailed headers and footers to the report; these are changed at the site level -> Reporting.
- Added: Job Activity Report, under report profiler tab for jobs. This report displays the average number of days from date received through date completed.
- Added: Allow Terminology for Action Taken and Service Requested.
- Added: Modification of the changes/costs screen on item detail to include fields that match job cost fields on the job costs level.
- Added: On item detail include the Project Name, and an information button for the job owner primary, and vendor information.
- Added: A second staff drop down (employees), to the job. This staff description is available on all jobs and the label can be changed in terminology.
- Added: Email address and notes on the homeowner in the "I" on Item Quick edit, and add "I" to item detail.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed: Terminology for Open Date on
Hot Sheet 3 Report
- Fixed: Error on item detail
menu to View List when owner has apostrophe in
name.
- Fixed: Employee on Call not
displaying on the employee screen during setup or
viewing.
PLEASE NOTE: There were bugs reported that can be fixed by clearing your temporary internet files folder, and making sure that the client side changes have been applied to each workstation that will be using Punchlist Manager.NET™.
Service Software is proud to release Version 3.3.0 of our
Mobile application. The following are the
enhancements and bug fixes related to this release:
Enhancements:
- Added: A mobile user can change
the work order type to the .NET based selection of work order
types. This is done at the work order level, under
the dates tab. There is a new drop down titled,
“Type”. When work orders are faxed or emailed they
now display the selected work order type.
- Added: Added to Restoration
Mobile on the work order level the capability of capturing
Hydrometer readings (multiple readings by employee, date, and
time.)
- Added: Added to the work order
the capability to choose from a drop down to populate action
taken.
- Added GPS tracking, GPS Stamp, name,
date, time and Lat/Long when logon, and logoff, and at selected
intervals.
- Added: On
the Item and request screen, when using a pocket PC Device with
a slide out keyboard, need to show a scroll
bar.
Bug Fixes
- Improvement: Improved the speed on the loading of quality
process/Inspections from minutes to
seconds.
- Fixed: Equipment scanned and assigned in the field was not
showing as out in the .NET Equipment
Browser.
- Fixed: Fixed
the missing terminology from general tab - List on Mobile
- Fixed: When you load an update on Mobile 6 device, the Update takes 3-4 clicks to run
- Improved: The time to add a new
work order from lists and save the work order can take up to 15
seconds to open and or save.
You will also want to add your .NET™ site to the "Trusted
Sites" Zone in internet explorer to keep some features from being
blocked by a Microsoft update.
The upgrades will be completed the night of November 29,
2008 for those customers hosted at Service Software, LLC.
These are only the beginning of the enhancements and changes that
will be coming in the months ahead. We use your feedback to improve
upon the application you have come to know and trust for your
warranty needs.
