Upgrade to Version 4.6.0

Dear Valued Customer,

Service Software would like to announce the release of our Punchlist Manager.NET™ Version 4.6.0. This release contains several changes and improvements to our award-winning warranty management system.

New features and Improvements:

  • Added New Feature:  Quality/Inspection Walks - The capability to create new value (improving, declining, good, very good, yes, no, other or text based (all user definable) based inspections/estimate templates.  These templates allow for values to be entered on the task being performed and pictures (up to 6) and comments added to the task being inspected.
  • Added New Feature:  A new value based inspection report has been created to display the results of value based inspections, including images, pictures, and overall comments.
  • Improved Feature:  When uploading images/documents to the documents section of the job, you can now view thumbnails of the image or document on the screen.

PLEASE NOTE: There were bugs reported that can be fixed by clearing your temporary internet files folder, and by applying the suggested client side changes to each workstation that will be using our .NET™ application.

You will also want to add your .NET™ site to the "Trusted Sites" Zone in internet explorer to keep some features from being blocked by a Microsoft update.


Service Software is proud to release Version 3.4.0 of our Mobile application. This release contains several changes and improvements to our Mobile application:

Enhancements:

  • Added New Feature:  Ability to add and edit notes field within the job detail.

  • Added New Feature:  Added a new value (portfolio) inspection to the system that allows the inspector to select a user defined value for a task, and assign up to 6 pictures and comments that are displayed on the report.
  • Added New Feature:  Added a scroll bar to the “Quality Process – Task” text box so that more text can be viewed.
  • Added New Feature:  Added an 'Are you sure?' message when the logoff button is selected to avoid accidental logoffs.
  • Improved Feature:  Made more room for labels on the main menu so that longer terminology strings can be displayed without being truncated.  For example 'Inspectio' was increased to “Inspection”.
  • Improved Feature:  The Action Taken sort order now respects the users defined sort order in .NET.

The upgrades will be completed the night of February 11, 2009 for those customers hosted at Service Software, LLC.

These are only the beginning of the enhancements and changes that will be coming in the months ahead. We use your feedback to improve upon the application you have come to know and trust for your warranty needs.
