Upgrade to Version 4.7.0

Service Software would like to announce the release of our Punchlist Manager.NET™ Version 4.7.0. This release contains several changes and improvements to our award-winning warranty management system.

New features and Improvements:

  • When adding a new job the City, State, ZIP and County will no longer auto populate from the information entered at the Project level if a check mark is not entered at system settings level. This is a system setup feature that can be turned on or off. By selecting Setup, System Setup, Settings and entering a checkmark at “When adding a new job, use the City, State, ZIP and County from the Project?”
  • Added title field to the Project and Job Contact screen. This title selection table is setup at Setup, System Setup, Settings, and Titles/Positions.
  • The value based inspection template format was changed to allow blank tasks to be added.
  • Advanced Search now includes the ability to search by "Item Date Completed”.
  • Employee GPS tracking, added to the reverse geo-coding lookup, the secondary database for broader address and location lookups. (Additional Fees Apply)
  • Contacts, First name or Last name can be added only one field is required.
  • Value Based Inspection increased the size of comments to 500 characters. Note: Tabs and carriage returns are stripped from the text to allow for proper report formatting.
  • About NET located under HELP, indicates version number and SSLLC contact information.

    Bug Fixes

  • Service Summary Report now excludes deleted items.
  • Field Inspection Report - Minor Formatting Issues with report in PDF report where text is centered and cropped where it should be left justified.  Also format change to 4 pictures in landscape mode per page.
  • An “&” in the vendor/technician name was preventing the ability to search for that vendor in global/quick find or on the vendor/technician browser.
  • Item Detail Report additional blank pages no longer print when a longer text string is used in action taken.
  • Dashboard - Scheduled events today now reports correctly.

PLEASE NOTE: There were bugs reported that can be fixed by clearing your temporary internet files folder, and by applying the suggested client side changes to each workstation that will be using our .NET™ application.

You will also want to add your .NET™ site to the "Trusted Sites" Zone in internet explorer to keep some features from being blocked by a Microsoft update.


Service Software is proud to release Version 3.5.0 of our Mobile application.  This release contains several changes and improvements to our Mobile application:

Enhancements:

  • New: Allow users to create a sketch that gets included to a work order or a value based inspection. The attachment is included in the same format that the pictures are displayed.
  • Improved: The logon for GPS tracking was originally set at 0 minutes after logon; it has been moved to 3 minutes after the logon before it is first tracked.
  • Improved: Allow user to edit the Description of a blank task on a value or checklist format inspection.
  • Improved: The overall speed of the synchronization has been dramatically improved by only examining one table to determine changes.  This is the pre-cursor to running continuous background sync.
  • Improved: Add additional Throttles to the system for walk tasks and walk issues.
  • Improved: Increase comments on value inspection to 500 characters.
  • Improved: When you synchronize, pictures will be set to “print with work order”, when 1 or all 6 pictures are captured on the mobile device.

The upgrades will be completed the night of April 1, 2009 for those customers hosted at Service Software, LLC.

These are only the beginning of the enhancements and changes that will be coming in the months ahead. We use your feedback to improve upon the application you have come to know and trust for your warranty needs.
